It also says the date right beside EVERY thread and at the top of EVERY POST. If you're looking at the list of threads, basically anything with a red arrow is new and everything with a grey arrow or lock instead of an arrow means old or closed. Since you're new there's going to be lots of red arrows beside threads because you've never seen em before, so if the last post was less than 10 days ago, you can post in there. Chances are that all the paint and supplies there are easy to get. That is if there really is no graff there.
