lord_casek
Not true. Thats what community activism is: paying respect to other individuals. A question: Does this, in your opinion, justify mob rule?
Soup
Yeah bro neighborhood gardens, localizing power grids, and demonstrating to stop local prisionguard brutality is totally mob rule.
IOU
You can't really have a community when the individual and their needs can be held above the whole.
Soup
That sounds more like a ruling class than an individual. Oakland's a very pluralistic society and yet we still have basic necessities to come together on instead of fighting eachother for.
IOU
And you don't think shit is run by the ruling class?

Soup
Do i think it's ran by the "ruling class?" What do you even mean by ruling class? Congress? A thinktank in some federal office building? No I think it's founded and ran by Van Jones.. You know where community activist groups like the black panther party and this originated from? Churches. Small, local community churches where individuals gather and discuss neighborhood issues. Im not preaching religion, im saying when you live in the hood that's where you go and that's where change happens to begin.
