YouMad.GIF
great in the summer im a big fan of this for reds, since a lot of heavier ones leave you hungover as fuck if you drink the whole bottle... getting weekly wine tastings was the best part of waiting tables...

IOU
I'm drinking a lot more wine these days. A LOT. Any recommendations for the $15-20 range. I got my cheap wine game on lock, but I need some decent wines to hook up with food.

Do they already have ironic pictures to post? I mean it's always happening. And another thing, these appreciation threads are about topics so pervasive in society that there is really no progress. It seems like everything is constantly on track for a downward spiral. This is the wine thread.

veintiocho
I know next to nothing about wine, but I've been trying different types lately... if any other wine noobs are interested in learning more about the subject, check out John Cleese's Wine for the Confused on Netflix streaming. I got a good deal of info out of it. Recently had this, and it was fantastic: got one of these for the snow day tomorow: tried this last week, it was pretty bad. tasted like jolly ranchers. ShortFuse
im a big fan of this for reds, since a lot of heavier ones leave you hungover as fuck if you drink the whole bottle... getting weekly wine tastings was the best part of waiting tables... Folie a Deux's Menage Trois is an excellent cheaper wine. Strongly recommended for people trying to get into reds. They also make an awesome Cabernet. By far one of my favorites.. Some others Ive tried and/or keep in my choice to drink. Awesome warm weather white, but good anytime really.. Can find this just about anywhere and it definitely wont fail reds.. Tasty Meritage Yum Yum Yum Must be russian river valley and excellent 100% cab I could really go one but Ill call it quits for today. ShortFuse
A lot of wine tastings around where Im at are just for stupid old white people just like that looking to cop a buzz for free. Not saying free drink is bad but people like that are like hipsters at art shows. Ruins the whole experience.
