Kid's mother says "if you leave treatment I won't let you back home... bla bla blah" . Then at the end they tell you he left after 20 days and she flew him home first class. However, I'd have to argue that the people who devote their time to pursuing ghosts, at least on these shows, have some pretty fucked up lives too.
