Graffiti Inside the House

Fun ways to add an urban vibe to home decor.

Graffiti has come a long way. Its hip, urban style has infiltrated our city streets and in many places has added a dose of art and design to even the darkest alleyways. Graffiti can provide the same service in interior design. This gorgeous graffiti covered pendant will add the perfect touch of gritty street cred to any divine interior.

Its balanced blend of sleek modernity and urban chic flair will literally brighten any dark corner and will instantly add a touch of high design to any room.

After seeing this pendant lamp it reminded me of the plates that I fell in love with last year, and as I began to search for them I found these great napkins that add to that street vibe with the graffiti plates:

Then I ran in to one of my favorite NYC designers Michael Tavano, and his table that he designed for my all time favorite event for DIFFA. Notice how he designed the ceiling (would love to do this in my dining room) and how he really created an entire environment. I also adore the white chairs, and the regal feeling they add to the urban design:

Look at the detail of the graffiti on the ceiling, notice the backdrop are blueprints:

And, of course, the dishware and how it all ties together:

I'm definitely inspired to create this environment in someway in my own home! Stay tuned.

is this really what shits evolving into?

society thinks graffiti is cool to decorate with inside homes, but it shouldnt be outside on walls, etc. ??

if so

and i hope whoevever is capitolizing on this is making serious money off these people.

idk but my 1st apt had graff in it at all times...i had a wall specifically just for heads to hit up....have parties n handstyle battles shit like that....but i didnt buy any of the shit like these people....maybe they wanna feel the street/city vibe inside theyre house...rich people...

thats completely different in my opinion.

you are doing it with people you know / associate with.

you are not going out and buying shit with pre-drawn scribbles on it to give your home that "crusty street vibe" or whatever this dumb bitch called it.

why is this suprising or new, corn husk?

people been making money putting graffiti legally on GALLERY walls for years

capitalism don't sleep

everything eventually falls in line

it's suprising when i see it on msn.com as a side headline.

gallery walls are different from someone buying some dish and printing out a kuma throw up and pasting it on their dishes, or buy bed sheets with a grey piece on it.

i can't wait for the negaprops, but it always bugs me when people get so mad that someone takes pictures of graffiti and sells it. deal with it.

it's not supposed to be there in the first place, you have no ownership of it, and either way you're getting dap from the person who chooses to have a lamp with your hand on it in their dining room. kinda ill.

if you want to get paid for art, go do something legal.
