It turns out that the victim, a former dance student at the Millenium Studios, is the one who pressed the charges against him on Thursday. She claims she and Sparks, who is a dance teacher at the school, had a sexual relationship when she was a student there. Shane Sparks' lawyer says this is "extortion, Hollywood style," especially considering the victim waited 15 years to come forward. As of yet, no evidence has been released, so it's a he said, she said case. It's quite possible the victim wasn't brave enough to come forward 15 years ago and that Sparks and R.Kelly share something in common. However, Shane Sparks' lawyer could be right in his assessment of the situation. Unfortunately there are lots of people out there willing to tarnish a celebrity's name and career, just for cash.
