autoteller
Jack Russell mix. Super smart dog who liked frisbee's and little squeaky toys. Couple more hours to go until sunrise and I can dig her grave. I won't sleep until it's finished. Sitting here thinking about her body laying in my cold garage. I went out there earlier and petted her for a few minutes. Almost couldn't pull the blanket back to stroke her face, but I did. when my previous rabbit died, i was hysterical. so i gotta say you seem to be taking it pretty well. RIP man, losing an animal is a million times harder than losing a person...at least to me. the important part is that you took awesome care of her, and she loved the fuck out of you / you love the fuck out of her. burying that bunny was one of the hardest things i've ever done, and i still go by and say hello to her a lot. just because she's not with you now, doesn't mean in some way shape or form, she isn't there. even though it was only a bunny, i still believe my small gaz bunny is still sitting on top of my head at inopportune times and messing me up while i roll joints, and i feel the same can be said about your pup after awhile and the initial pain wears off. stay strong, friend. lord_casek
Thank you all. So, it's done. I dug the hole and carried my puppy to her final resting place. She has her favorite frisbee with her. Was tons hard to cover my dog with dirt. She's at peace, now. I'll share one more picture taken a few months back and then I'm done. She always looked at me like this when I talked to her. She liked the idea of going for rides and always got a song from me (no radio in the jeep).

Seffiks
Hey sorry to see that your dog has died, I know how you feel; Dogs can become closer to you then human family itself. Just remember the good times, and give yourself time before trying to fill the empty void with another dog. Again Sorry for the loss.
