Why didn't i ever have super rich parents or why haven't i got lucky at the casino or on a scratch ticket?

Then i think for awhile of all the things id do with a few million and realize id be back to broke in a few months with nothing to show. and realize that's why !

so i got it figured out why i never won the lottery now i just gotta figure out why black kids are wearing skinny jeans? i don't know about 2012 but if black kids start dressing like white kids and white kids continue to dress like black kids this might some how make a weird gravity pull in the earth and cause problems with our ozone outer level.

but i always told myself if i won big on a scratch ticket id split it 3 ways to my family to me and they rest to a charity that has to do with kids

You're not gunna win big enough on a scratch ticket to be able to give away a third to charity without being a moron for doing so

And I discovered the secret to winning the lottery a long time ago, when the girl I was dating at the time told me she didn't want to ever win the lottery. I realized that day that if I got her to play for me, I'd win...unfortunately she hates me now

I was flat broke in a city far away from my home. I was drunk and buying water to shoot up with and the talk in the check out line was about the new scratch ticket machine. I talked some shit about how I always win and put my last dollar in the machine.

I won one hundred and sixty nine dollars, copped and bought a greyhound ticket home.

That was 13 years ago and I forgot about it until just now.

My Dad has pretty good luck with the lottery. He doesn't play scratch tickets very often, but plays the lottery more or less every day, Powerball once a week, Keno every once in awhile.

Anyways, he's always winning $50 here and there, and pretty much every year wins 2 grand at least once.

I used to love it when I was a kid and that happenedbecause he'd give the cashier $100, and each of us kids $100

truth be told im addicted to sweepstakes. its not unusual for me to buck up 500 on tickets LOL.

the odds are alot better than lotterys. also its not tradfition for me to go to the Canucks home opener every year not even eally for the game anymore but for the 50/50 draw.

every year at the home opener they carry over the unclaimed winnings from the previous year. it was $145,000 bucks this year. i spent like 400.

odds are crazy good. place seats like 19,000 and some change and certanly not everyone there buys tickets. do the math.

WORTHWHILE.

Rich parents are overrated.

Most rich kids don't know how to do anything themselves and would probably cry if they got a flat tire. They have access to anything they want, but they waste their lives away on prescription drugs to overcome their mommy/daddy issues. Fuck them.

Motivation and drive usually comes from having nothing. When you have everything handed to you, you have nothing to strive for.

You've got money on your mind now... Use that thought towards a personal goal. Earning it is much more rewarding.

i used to look at it like that when i was younger too but you learn as you get older they end up getting there shit together and/or given buisnesses or whatever other doors opened for them. hopefully if i ever get talked out of ordering an abortion ill have a nice chunk uh change to leave for my kid. somethin i never had, or will have.

they really do end up being fine, if not better than fine.

i really have no hate for people with money, because i like money. and i respect people with it, however they got it.

and i aint no "it must be nice" saying dude. im on a life quest to be more than comfortable at all costs at all ends or beginings of liufe.

Not me. I'd buy a two or three bedroom house in a regular working class neighborhood, buy a grave plot for the family, maybe splurge on a few toys, and let the bank sit on that shit.

I guess I'd pay off my moms mortgage being as she's about to lose the house, but other than that I'm living frugal off that shit.

Free scratch tix paid for my BA

I worked @ a convenience store in high school & essentially had customers steal their beer & groceries while they paid me to play at least $100 worth a shift

It was before these $20 joints, so I kept an eye on the hot $5 books. Most I ever won on one ticket was 2Gs

One night, about a half hour before a shift, some guy hit 2M on one of the $5 tix I definitely would've scratched

I lost some sleep for a while

My mom worked for the same company for like 20 years.

She started working there when they were brand new, and moved up through the ranks and towards the end was making some damn good money (by my standards, not by Ch0 standards where niggas apparently make $30 an hour in their 20's working at Best Buy and McDonalds.)

But anyways, being as she was there since the beginning, there was also alot of other people who were there since the beginning and so you had alot of people coming up on retirement around the same time so the company who bought out that plant years prior thought it would be a dope idea to just close the plant and lay everyone off before they had to pay all these pensions.

So basically my mom worked her ass off for most of her life for nothing and is assed out and can't find a job being as she's really only qualified to do one thing and there's no jobs in that area available to her.

She's already burned through her 401K and is about to lose her crib.

I'm not coming from a young kid's perspective. My close friends and I have been exposed to a whole new breed of people (aka rich kids) due to higher education and growing careers. Some rich kids are intelligent and cultured, but they still lack that well-rounded "I can do shit myself" attitude that I admire in people.

Prime example, my friend's colleague in law school had her daddy speak to the dean so they will be "less hard on her." Talk about preparing yourself for the real world...

I don't have a problem with people with money. But I do have a problem with their sheltered upbringing and their politically incorrect comments about race, religion, social class that is different than theirs. Luckily for them, they didn't have to worry about someone checking them and getting an ass whoopin' for looking/talking/acting at someone the wrong way.

I don't feel that it is my place to say anything, mostly cause I don't want to come off as the angry minority. And believe me, people say a lot of inappropriate shit in front of me only because I definitely don't look the part of a street smart hoodlum that used to steal for a living.

:p

stories like this really hit me hard, and make me sad

my mom too was working hard 2 jobs just to make ends meat, i myself was giving my mom my paychecks and stealing anything i wanted clothes paint ect but she didnt know about that and would of deff not approve.

i found loop holes to make money no not selling drugs. and i did ok

my dad past away in 2008 and it fucking still kills me.

but his life insurance paid off the house, i cant explain the load of bricks off my chest to see my mom not stressed and atcully enjoying life now.

nothing feels worse than doing everything you can and feel like your just running in place

word... thats quite similar to my moms in the fact that shes worked at the same place for like 30 years. as a matter of fact its THE ONLY place shes ever worked LOL.

she loves her job, loves interaction and all that. shes turned down numerous opportunities to do whats called "private banking" where they send you upstairs to a personal office and you only deal with very very high end costumers that are onna whole nother level than standing in line at the bank.

she boggles my mind at times, turned em down a buncha times cause she wants to stay on the floor.

its mental, shes just like that. i love the woman but she just doesnt look at the financial big picture. heart of gold, did whatever she could for my brother n i, but now its too late to do what she needs to do for herself.

and the thing is, working in a bank as a woman. they want fresh faces. young faces. shes a pretty woman, and i aint just sayin that cause shes my moms. im sayin that cause its fact. but shes almost 55. nuff said.

shes always worked at the same branch, which is the tower branch downtown. preffer by a ton of celebrities over the years. johnny depp when they used to film 21 jump street here who still sent her chrsitmas cards for years after the show was finished, the gay guy from will n grace, sarah mclaughclan the dude from a death metal band skinny puppy etc etc etc.

she just dont have financial wisdom and it might end up costing her. tho, not if i can do anything about it.
