pornbooth...I know how to deep fry in a cast iron skillet, I just figured this was only 20bucks so it was a offer I couldn't refuse.

 

and that is a great deal...

 

i never doubted you, dont get me wrong. i was jus sayin for others who might want to take part in deep fried heaven who dont have one. thats all

 

i got a deep fryer also, i just wanted to point out an alternative if any fellow oontzers cant afford to fork out the loot.

I have avoided getting a deep fryer cause I figured the oil would be too great of an expense. Valid concern or no?

 

3 bucks for about 32 ounces or whatev they sell it in, shit will last a long time

 

you will know when to change it when is full of food chunks and your food all starts to taste the same

and to whoevers talkin about deep fried icecream. its common, and its good. tho iv only ever had it once. at an italian place. i dunno how italian it is, maybe it was gelato?

 

i always grab a deep fried twinkie on freemont street when im in vegas. shits good, they put powdered sugar onnit after.

Tomorrow I have the day off and I think I might try my hand at making some samosas from scratch.

Maybe I will even make some fresh paneer and have paneer pakoras.

 

And deep fried ice cream is one of those things that they always have for dessert at crappy chain restaurants like Chili's, TGIFriday's, and probably Applebee's.

I had it a few times as a kid and thought it was amazing.

 

Dune is super awesome but I was sleepy from working hard all day so I opted to nap instead of watch it.

 

ANd as far as the fryer only costing $20, I got it at my work and basically everything we sell is super cheap in pricing.

It is a German brand and a German chick I work with said her family has the same one and it has never caused them any problems so I think we should be alright.

It's not as if we are going to keep it out full time and use it multiple times a week.

I think the novelty of it will wear off in a few weeks after I tire of fried foods.

Or when I can't fit in my pants anymore and I have to wear Zubaz to work.

try using different oils too maybe, that might be dope. i know asian cooking uses alot of peanut oil. which im not all that familiar with.

 

might be fun. find out what kinds can be used at high heats. i know you cant really deep fry with olive oil and iv heard that even if you do its very "heavy" because its a hella flavourfull oil. hence why its used almost on its own for salad dressing etc.

 

canola is good cause its virtually tasteless and you can get the temp hella high on it for cooking.
