"The $30 gets you a downloadable copy, and this is a FULL version not just an upgrade. I contacted their customer support about it.

You can get Windows 7 Home Premium, or Windows 7 Professional for $30, and additional $12 is added on if you want a physical copy sent to your house."

You know what Arnold Schwarzenegger said when asked if he was upgrading to Windows 7?

I got my copy for free, but this is hands down the first version of Windows that's actually worth the money out of the box...well, maybe not full price, but $30 is definitely a steal. I recommend it...it's got all the bells and whistles of Vista and the speed of XP, plus aome new handy features.

Weird, I actually shilled for both MS and Apple today.

I laughed at this in front of my roommate and immediately felt ashamed.

i'm still running XP. no issues with it. is this worth switching to?

No. If you have a newer computer and want to take full advantage of what it can do, it would be a good choice. If you were using Vista, I'd say definitely.
