Getting rid of my prepaid service, and it's a very simple question-should I get an iPhone or the new Droid? Im sure there are cell phone geeks on here that could help me in my decision before I sign a 2 yr contract. Your help would be much appreciated.....

i use boost and its awesome, im not having problems receiving calls or texts, they run off sprint/nextel so the network is actually good

You lucked out, because every damn time I call ask I have to do it like 3 times minimum, and if your luck is really off you got a 5 hour delay on texts

Btw Boost doesn't run on sprint, only nextel IDEN system. Their systems are still basically separate. Virgin Mobile is the prepaid on Sprint... And it doesn't work off nextel iden towers

If I had prepaid I would do virgin all the way.

I just picked up this R4 unit, though i think it was priced a little high. Was a bit dirty when i got it, but second hand droids..kind of have to take what you can get when dealing with Jewas. IF you know what i mean! Seriously, go with a nice R2 unit if you can get your hands on one..thats just my opinion. Great worker!

iPhone- works great out of the box, looks cool and has a damn good warranty/customer support when you buy it through Apple. Downside- service is not so hot, it's pricey, and you can't drop it.

Android- open platform, has a real keyboard, and it's possible to get free SMS and voice if you do VOIP over wifi...which makes most of your calls free if you go this route. Downside- you need to be inclined to do a little hacking to make the most of the Android, looks kind of goofy, and I'm not sure about the warranty or support.

Hope that helps.
