the graff giraffe
i'm with you earl, i only saw it about 3 months ago and i thought it sucked. people i knew who had seen it hyped it the fuck up especially my friend, but he thought the latest Diehard was a cinematic masterpiece so really it was my own damn fault for listening to him in the first place. and another thing, whats with movies sucking nowadays? yeah theres been a FEW good ones recently but theres a big ratio of shit movies to good movies. kind of like how 2pac had a big ratio of shit songs to good songs (obscure 12oz reference). the last time i went to the movies was a drunken decision to sneak into one to kill some time at the casino. i went into some chick flick about some bitch who idolized a cook then left because it reeked of estrogen so i went into some terrible vince vaughn movie. stuff just sucks these days. and people buy into it. props for someone who can recommend a decent movie to see at the cinema. yeah, cool fuckin story. im tired, im going to bed, and i agree with earl. there was never a time when all movies were good. francis buxton
"Author: ncfmike18 from United States Saying All Saints day is amazing is not giving it enough credit. It was the best movie I had seen since the Dark Knight, hell i think its as good if not better as the original. Everything about it was great. Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus were awesome again. I could go on for hours about how good it was. I think if you like the first one you should love this as well. I don't think I have ever walked out of a theater so happy it was the best 10.50 I ever remember spending at the movies, and I would have happily spend 20 for a ticket. You have to be high to not like this movie, and if you don't like this great film you should be beaten. " Looks like you have to be beaten Earl. Bummer. earl broclo ESQ
Looks like you have to be beaten Earl. Bummer. That review is actually funny. I found a picture of ncfmike18. For the record, I'm not saying anyone who likes this movie is an idiot or anything like that. I'm just saying my opinion of the movie is low. I know it can be an entertaining movie and "fun," but it was hyped up too much for me and didn't come through like I expected.
earl broclo ESQ
And I'll admit there are much worse movies than Boondock Saints. That was one of the biggest piece of shits ever dropped.
Earthworm Jim
I thought it was a good movie, why not have a sequel? Harry Potter got a few of them, and that shit is fucking super gay... I'm not going to defend it like its the best film ever, but it didn't suck terribly... If you don't like it, don't watch it...
earl broclo ESQ
Yeah, but you're from Bostin Khed. Of course you love this fockin' movie.
LICKERISH
And I'll admit there are much worse movies than Boondock Saints. That was one of the biggest piece of shits ever dropped. I saw this movie for free, afterward I had to fill out a survey and they gave me more free movie tickets. I don't think it ever actually came out in theatres nationwide. It sucked that bad. Its probably responsible for Charlie Sheen's disappearance throughout most of the nineties...that and banging every prosty in Heidi's book.

MAR
Boondock Saints was the fourth, Irish, installment in the El Mariachi series. Which I too would like to hate on.

abrasivesaint
i associate haters of this movie with the same people who claim Gangs of New York is the worst movie ever, which i cant comprhend. i think in reality, which has kinda shown in this thread, that you all hate the goons with shamrocks on their arms, celtic crosses on their legs, and their last name (of irish heritage) in old E on their forearms screaming "fucking boondocks bro! you ever see that fucking movie? best fucking movie ever kid" and use it as a foot in the door to be like "yo, bro, my uncle knew whitey bulger kid, he used to see him walking down the street and shit, i got family in ireland they say hes hiding over there and hes a celebrity, blah blah" and you cant allow any leeway cause then you may be associated with this group, so your extreme and say"its the worst cheesiest movie ever" when we all know theres been FAR worse movies. that being said, i dont think the first one is bad, i enjoyed it, but im not gonna go jerk off to the dvd cover, im sure the 2nd one sucks fat nuts, i assumed that 4 years ago when that movie was supposed to come out. abrasivesaint
ha, i've heard people say that they think "its the absolute worst movie ever made" without backing it up other than saying, "its just a horrible movie." i wanna say i even saw a top 10 worst movies ever list somewhere, from some sort of "legitimate" website/company and gangs of new york was in the top 3. webmaster
I'm going to do a Boondock Saints Quickstrike challenge to piss Earl off. And Gangs of New York is a good flick.
SwampFightOner
"Reviews of the eventual release in 2002 were generally positive — the review aggregating website Rotten Tomatoes reporting 76% of the 184 reviews that they tallied were favorable. The RT Critical Consensus reads, "Though flawed, the sprawling, messy Gangs of New York is redeemed by impressive production design and Day-Lewis's electrifying performance."[14] Roger Ebert praised the film but believed it fell short of Scorsese's best work, while his At the Movies co-star Richard Roeper called it a "masterpiece" and declared it a leading contender for Best Picture.[15] Paul Clinton of CNN called the film "a grand American epic."[16] Todd McCarthy singled out the meticulous attention to historical detail and production design for particular praise.[17] Some critics, however, were disappointed with the film, complaining that it fell well short of the hype surrounding it, that it tried to tackle too many themes without saying anything unique about them, and that the overall story was weak.[18]" It seriously boggles my mind that anyone could dislike Gangs Of New York

john_gacy
Gangs was a dope movie, probably hated on because it has pretty boy Leonardo DeCraprio in it. I sure as fuck didn't watch that movie at 1st because of him, but once I watched it I had to put my dislike of his titanic faggotness aside as the movie was fresh. I guess there's enough mixed reviews of the 2nd installation of Boondock that I will eventually have to see it.
