i just want to mention that i had never heard of Sun ra until yesterday and i played calling planet earth before my last class of the day...

 

that shit was epic and i was sitting in class with a dazed look upon my face, people thought i was stoned and i was not at all, but holy fucking breakdancing cow squad batman. THAT SHIT WAS EPIC!! i couldn't think about anything else while in class.

 

im sold. props.

ha dope...but yeah, i notice that you don't really see sun ra getting the attention that someone like coltrane or miles davis get when it comes to jazz, at least in my book. which is surprising, cause the more you read up on this guy his persona starts to over shadow his music

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

speaking of miles...not sure if you keep up on this whole jazz/fusion genre but in case you or anyone else haven't heard this, don's sleep:
