abcs
even awesomer Reba. Particularly part 2. speaks for itself. staying off pt around announcement and lotto is the smart play. rumors of ph and furthur at allgood are probably bunk as a sucker wrapped in oregano and the last thing i need to think about. Avesism
Then end of that Reba is quintessentially 94 Trey. Nothing like it. Coincidentally, that was the tour I got started on- Spring tour '94. That was great. The peak of this Antelope falls in the same category. Hurry up with the tour dates, already! shai
I remember trying to order tickets for one of the Dead NYE sets (probably my birthday) on the phone and it taking three days to get through to someone. This was sometime around 1991.
Avesism
Snagged Reconstruction 7-8-79 Betty Board last night. The sound is killer. I' going to try and get it uploaded and linked tonight.

shai
I hope that stays up for a while, since I don't have any storage left on this computer. Otherwise I'll have to bug you about it later. Met a guy from New York yesterday who had a ton of good live stuff. We shared some recommendations...once I go through his list I'll post some of them up. Here's one I remember, it's pretty good- Grateful Dead Live at San Francisco Civic Auditorium on 1987-01-
abcs
I remember not really liking 87 setlists for some reason. Maybe the few I seen to pass that judgement were unusually weak but that show got slammed. Off night for bob weir Im on a phish kik. It happens from time to time
shai
I don't like much after 1977 so I can see your point but from what I heard that was a solid show performance wise. Long night out seeing various punk bands sans earplugs. Head ringing like a bell. Yay for getting old.
abcs
I listened to 75% of that 87 show lastnight. It wasn't bad.

Avesism
Definitely. Locations depending on preferred venues and optimal dates working with vacation time. More waiting...
abcs
I was kinda ufct up when i ordered tix. Just now realized you can only make a single request. I made a request for each show and have 6 receipts. Proof positive abcs operates better with a clear head. So I have 6 receipt numbers, 6 order numbers and im worried that they are only going to look at the first one. Avesism
Even if you messed up on the preorder, something tells me getting tickets for these summer shows isn't going to be all that tough.
Avesism
Just grabbed tickets for Melvin and JGB this Tuesday in Boston. I should probably take Wednesday out of work, but won't. Vacation time needs to be saved for Summer Phish tour. Drop the West coast dates, already!
abcs
wont pretend to be surprised but i didn't get a cc hold. Hey Shai. Is it feasible to fly into SFIA, get into town with Bart and get to BGCC on Muni? Hotels in the area? I really would like to get back to the bay area. Its been some time since i been. Im guess im trying to figure out if all this could be considered easy. I will have just gotten my license back and it may be hard for me to rent a car. yo theme. hows your plans evolving? SPAC pavs are stubhub 'd the fuck up. If i cant get down on friday at noon when they go TM its looking like cinci->blossom maybe AV. If SPAC dont pan out I do SF run alone probably. If I can get SPAC pavs on TM I'll probably do JB on the 4th as well. Hopefully thru TM but if i have to bend over and take it I suppose its whatever I rather do SF than SPAC. SPAC i would be with friends. Ive never been to a show alone. Let alone a 3 night run.
Avesism
Plans are still susceptible to change until those west coast dates are announced, but... Worcester because it's an hour away. After just reading the AC info- http://baderfield2012.phish.com/ I've decided to put in for Thursday, Friday, and Monday off from work. Due to Alpine being on a weekend, I might be dumb enough to head out there, but probably won't. (why couldn't Deer Creek be the fucking weekend show?) I've got the whole week of the 4th off, so Jones Beach and SPAC are a go. Hopefully they schedule the venues I'm hoping for out west around weekends so I can actually pull this shit off. I didn't preorder any tix, going the TM route, and again, not really stressing on it. SPAC pavs are the only thing slightly bothering me, but I'll be on the pav one way or another, be it a stub down or actually getting pav seats. ...and at the end of it all I'll be saying "I'm done with tour and am only catching a couple local shows from now on."....again. Avesism
PS JGB was fun, but they went on too late for me to stay the whole show and I still suffered my ass off all day at work with an "Icepick to the forehead" hangover.
Weapon X
"I sat down to my supper, 'twas a bottle of red whisky, I said my prayers and went to bed, that's the last they saw of me." Also, if you like good music, check out The Tragically Hip's song, Dire Wolf. Not a cover, but a great song.

Weapon X
Yes, they are such a damn good band. Funny, I come across so many people who dislike them so, and why for, I just don't know. They're a band for normal people, in my opinion. Nothing eccentric about them - just good music.
Cool_Hand
perhaps its a canadian thing, but I grew up listening to them, they never get old to me.
Weapon X
As did I. It is definitely a Canadian thing. I've never heard of, nor met an American that knows of them. I'm sure they've gone gold there, though. Still, I do hate how they and Rush are the only CanCon the classic and "alternative" rock stations play. Avesism
I can dig on Tragically Hip. Haven't listened to them in ages, though. They've got a lot of fans in Vermont, which is where I first heard 'em. I actually thought they were from VT until a Vermonter brought to my attention that they're, in fact, Canadian. Weapon X
^ props. Back to that Dead song, Dire Wolf..I just went to this site: http://artsites.ucsc.edu/GDead/AGDL/ and found that they came up with the song after watching Hound of the Baskervilles on TV. Funny. The first time I heard it was around a fire, with two buddies of mine playing it on guitar and it haunted the fuck out of me. It came upon me today and I youtubed it and now I'm on a GD tear. Good thing this thread was on page 1.
