This was the last comic I actually read every issues until drew hayes got really sick and then died.

Seriously was one of the best comics I've ever read

But the shit I grew up on was more stuff like this

Weird%20War%20Tales%204a.jpg

I actually still have all the issues of this one stashed away with a grip of other comics

I always thought this dude was one of the doper marvel heroes

He still stands to be one of my favorite villains ever

This shit was dope as well

I think the only comic other then shit like johnny the homicidal maniac I would pick up and actually try to read right now is probably this since I actually read it for probably the first 30 something issues

Oh yeah and the ultimates series didn't seem all that bad when I read it especially the avengers series. But ever since Drew Hayes died I really have no reason to go to the comic store anymore so I don't even pick up shit unless its at a yard sale or some shit.

REMINDS ME OF THE NEW TANK GIRL ARTIST

Ashley Wood is sick. D'Airain Adventure is the business.

I'm trying to cut down on my comic book habit, and trying to download more, but I still can't drop The Walking Dead, Invincible, or The Boys...fucking ridiculous awesome.

I just recently came up on a mint copy of this..

it's the 9/11 issue, and a bitch to find in really good condition because of the black cover.. I'm stoked to get it graded next month.

been re-reading some of my old good stuff

Transmetropolitan

14-1.jpg

Fixed since your image didn't work and thanks for reminding me about that comic. I am actually gonna go try to find some of the graphic novels today cause it has to be one of the most badass comics I ever read. I also remember talks about them making a movie out of it at one point years ago.

Thank you for reminding of the comic man seriously

congrats on that all black issue come up...

Thanks...my next target book is going to be either X-Men #94

94-1.jpg

or Giant Size X- Men #1

1-11.jpg

...I'm also on the look out for Avengers # 100 in at least 9.4 condition

100-2.jpg

I'm working on getting rid of most of my useless comics on ebay right now, the market's weak, but you can get your money if you play your cards right...My ultimate goals are a full run of Uncanny X-men, and #1-100 of Avengers, I'm about 70% there so far.

I recently finished:

7 Soldiers of Victory - Grant Morrison

Preacher - Garth Ennis

Pride of Baghdad - Brian K. Vaughan

and have started:

The Boys - Garth Ennis

Fables - Abunch O. Nigguz

All pretty good so far, but Ennis is the winner in my mind at the moment.

On my to-do list:

Joss Whedon's run of Astonishing X-Men

Grant Morrison's run of New X-Men (started it and thought it was brilliant but never finished)

Sandman - Neil Gaiman

100 Bullets

Shi

Y: The Last Man (started this, but I'm still not totally sold on Brian K. Vaughan... he makes good characters, but when it comes to dialogue, they all talk like Brian K. Vaughan. Like, it's hard to get lost in the voice of the character without being aware that some guy wrote it.)

i do think i need to open my mind a bit and start reading some of the non-action comics. harvey pekar type shit.

and yes, like every good nerd, reading Watchmen did change my life, even after hearing all the hype for years.
