No super dope scores but some cool shit all for under ten bucks.
StreetPeep
I found 5 old $20 bills rolled up in a pile of clothes. I'm assuming somebody forgot in some clothes they've donated. My friend has also found a small bag of cocaine in a pair of jeans she bought at resale store. Bitches selling their clothes for coke! shai
About a half-dozen Derbys (SF heads know), tons of Ben Davis, Carhartt, and Dickies in good to new shape, Versace jeans, a Comme Des Garcons wool coat, a couple of Louis Vuitton bags (real shit, not fake), a few decent bikes (notably a stock 1982 Stumpjumper in excellent condition), some old solid state stereo equipment, a pair of old Technics turntables (not 1200s but keep reading), a pair of DAO sized Fuct jeans, countless pairs of old school Docs and Italian dress shoes, a lot of good vinyl and first edition books...the best thing is that I don't have to pay most of the time. I do better at yard/sidewalk sales. In 2000 I came across a pair of 1200s for $450 at a sidewalk sale in the Haight...I didn't have the money so I called a friend who showed up ten minutes later with cash in hand. MedicineCabinet
thumbs down to hipsters that mob these store to look for the dumbest shit, but i cant be fucked to be paying $60 for a pair of jeans & such lots of decent & free/inexpensive clothing at these stores chinatown here also has a shitload of good deals. 7 blank t-shirts (they come of a variety of colour if youre picky) for $10. cant fuck with that if youre looking for a next change of clean clothes

THIS niggas use to try and clown a nigga if he said he got something from the thrift store in grade school, but now all those t-shirts and shit are "vintage" i fucking hate popular fashion. i was rockin those goofy ass mickey and donald tees waaaaay back. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back. MedicineCabinet
stores that sell a lot of random clothing outside on racks & covered in streetcar dust have thift store prices too. 3 dollar button ups & thick plain hoodies for 10 another thing due to supply & command, the price of the clothing at these kind of stores i actually pay for has skyrocketed i blame that on hipsters as well
SerialSkiller
i haven't bought socks or underwear at a regular store in years. these are the 2 things i would NEVER buy from a thrift store!
MedicineCabinet
on some serious scrubby shit i dont even think they sell undergarments or socks at thrift stores here unless you like wearing ones that are perma-stained from some dudes crotchrot & has gangrene crusted all over, i figure its common sense to not purchase used underwear. i mean, unless you were in some situation where you absolutely had to, which i dont see happening then again, i dont know your situation irl, so this could be all off
bay bay
Working for the salvation army was pretty cool, I have a huge collection of polo, vintage tees, shoes, Nike jackets, amongst a shit grip of sweet trinkets mcdonalds collector cups ect. Not to mention a nice ass stereo system all for free. Easy work, shit pay, but when half your customers don't speak English it makes it easier to just not ring them up and keep the loot. SerialSkiller
yeh for comunity service where im from they sometimes make you sort through the donations for places like these. acer910
never been in a thrift store and one opened up a block down from my house. what do i need to expect? am i going to be bombarded by jahova witnesses like on the city bus? is it like going to a casino where you only take a small amount of money? Banana fishd
I like thrift stores. I didnt like them when I was a kid. The whole thrifting trend...at least for my area isnt a whole lotta hipsters actually going to thrift stores themselves its hipster boutiques going for them and then selling the thrift store junk for like triple at their stores. I've bought some pretty awesome coral and turquoise jewelry there for cheap and a yashica minister (III). Also I dig old lady heels. Unfortunately the more the years pass by...the more thrift stores get clothes/shoes from the 80's and 90's I am not a big fashion fan of that era.
