Guiding Light, RIP

Recommended Posts

So, I really don't know too much about this. I'm not a soap opera person but this was my Mom's soap when I was a kid. I remember when Mack's wife poisoned him, I fully asked my mom WTF? This is when I learned some bitches are snakes too.

The news also just taught me that GL started on the radio in 1937 and came to TV in 1952... Final episode today. Pretty good run.

What? This shit wasn't canceled a decade ago? This was my mom's shit when I was kid, my grandma too. Too bad none of those actors/actresses are known for anything greater. At least to my knowledge.

When I spent some time incarcerated, the women would all watch soaps everyday.

I couldn't really get behind any of them although Passions was straight cray cray.

There was a monkey, a midget, a women possessed by Satan, and a sorceress on that show.

Banoodles.

I'm seriously not understanding something..

Props for 70 years.. And I'm a dork for old radio shows..

Mystery ones and science fiction ones.. Something about radio plays draws me in...

RIP GL

So I was at my nephew's baseball practice and at one point I was left alone w/ Sis-n-law and Her Ma so I mentioned this. I can't exactly explain what happened but it was the equivalent of throwing a pile of corn scratch into a circle of chickens. It was all BOCK! bock bock bock BOCK! For about 25 minutes.

I like the Burns and Allen radio stuff.

This is how I feel about "The Price Is Right".

The longest running infomercial ever...That I wanted to be on.

Props to social experimentation via mainstream media for so long.
