i hear ya. i never gave mouth sewn shut a chance, cause the couple songs i heard i was just like... oh, this is where toxic was heading, but they felt the need to start a whole new band... especially cause cockroach is one of my personal toxic favorites, and mouth sewn shut = cockroach, atleast to me.

you think thats bad?

i used to listen to korn & slipknot in middleschool

...ill never live that shit down

bump dimmu & oldschool greenday [before they became a bunch of makeup-wearing pussies (i know dimmu rocks makeup too, but they dont suck like greenday does now)]

i can't even remember. its been sooo long

but seriously i listened to hip hop then hardcore

I listened to a lot of hardcore and then realized how dumb and close-minded a lot of it is.

now hip hop, dub reggae, drum and bass and the occasional band that uses guitars.

I still listen to the same shit as I did when I was a teenager.

The Pixies

Ramones

Dead Boys

New York Dolls

Defiance

Inquisition

and every now and again I will listen to shit like Code 13, Doom, Misery, Man Is The Bastard, Anti-Cimex

I still listen to the same Wu albums from high school

except they were fresh out the box back then

I still listen to the same stuff I did back then, Hip Hop, Punk, hardore, 60s and 70s rock

only thing that i dislike that i used to listen to was i had a preiod of about 2 years where I listened to hardcore gabba techno (I blame my mates atthe time and all the drugs) that stuff is fucking awful, I hate dance music

ST and DRI are good. I could never really take GWAR seriously although there was this one arty chick in high school that I always wanted to make sexy times with and came up with the plan of telling her we would go to a poetry reading when in actuality a GWAR concert would be on the entertainment plan.

Gwar was stupid fun , and never menat to be taken seriously . I did have tons of fun at GWAR shows . Gwar was silly unlike all the retard Juggalo/ICP/Mushroomhead bullshit people that exist now .

Not to forget White Zombie because it was on Crusty Demons Of Dirt so I brought that album. Marilyn Manson.

im so glad i was able to see DRI before they dropped off the world forever, DRI and Gang Green at the same show, made me feel like i was in a time warp.

like, linkinpark in 6th grade, then i moved up through death metal and black metal, then i started smoking weed in high school and now i pretty much only listen to rap and dj shit

i still got metal classics on my ipod tho

Cypress Hill! First show I ever went to.

I listened to just about anything both then and now.

i listened to a lot of punk, and shitty hardcore that i quickly grew out of, into metal/rap.

then i got into electro and dubstep and such.

pretty much now its a switch between metal/rap/electro.

it seems like a lot of people go from punk/hardcore to hip-hop or electro stuff

because punk and hardcore are only good when you are young.

cant be 40 at a punk show and think your cool.

also my brother introduced me to a lot of rap / electro and got me out of that punk hardcore shit.

Fuck 'being cool'! I'll still be going to hardcore shows when I'm 40.

87 I was given cassette with Run Dmc one side Beastie Boys the other, never looked back

damn pretty similar except for me it was 89 with Run DMC on side and Public enemy on the other

I'm almost 36 and still going to metal and punk shows and don't see myself slowing down.

Hell, me and my dad (who's almost 60) were still going to punk shows till fairly recently (2001 or so). He's been into punk since the beginning...he was so pissed when I started listening to the Dead.

I never really got into hip hop or dance music. I like some of it. I've DJed off and on for 15 years but what I play is not what I listen to.

We should do some 8 track mixes and post them in this thread.
