CELT
All I know is I don't have $600+ for a set of Flight 400 or 401's in the box that I see for sale on bmxmuseum.com from time to time . Fuck it I'll buy knockoffs dirt-cheap and rock em'....I'm not a Collector but a Rider .
IRON CHEF
You can get Flights still, hell they even got em in all Black way cheaper than $600 double-pinch unless you are a purist and want originals?
CELT
Oh I know , not a Purist , but they sure are expensive . The best cranks I ever had were 3-Piece 180mm Profiles on my Zeronine....I wish I still had that bike , it's probably worth a fortune .
IRON CHEF
Profile made the Proto-Types for the Hutch Cranks way back in the day. Those Chrome Arms were Impressive.
seko
FYI Sugino did in fact produce the Redline 400's. And Profile made the first generation box cranks for Hutch. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v733/AlcohollicA/Picture037-1.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr33/OSBMX_THAILAND/Sugino%20400_1/DSCF0466.jpg

r1char
This thread inspired me to start fixing up my old GT. Im about halfway there I think it might be a VFR.. The only sticker i found on it was a 5.0 sticker on the seat tube. My old friend got this bike for free after getting hit by a car on my stolen huffy. A few years went by and it was just stting in his crib collecting dust. He was pressed for cash, so i ended up snatching it off him for twenty bucks and a dub of schwag. Still needs a few more coats before i'll put her back together. Got new tires and misc parts on the way from danscomp. I'm looking for a good sticker pack. But i kinda wanna know what it is before i go buying one. You guys got any idea? I think he got the bike new in like 2005ish. If antyhing i might just end up throwing some ol school fork decals on her and keep it classy

Fist 666
why wouldn't you just take the fork/stem off when you're painting the frame??
r1char
The side bolts were stripped and i didn't feel like fuckin with it at the moment. Im painting them black when all is said and done

CELT
Can't tell from the pics , but was it Chrome underneath that ugly paint ? If so give it a vinegar bath and keep it Chrome...just my opinion .
