makineasykills
Its either a short in the chord or your input jack may have a loose connection...or option c...you don't know what you're doing.

R@ndomH3ro
a. get new cord b. check your input c. is it a tube or solid state amp?
autoteller
check your guitar on another amp, if it isn't the input, then it may be a fucked up potentiometer or pickup selector. hell. could even be a blown pickup. amps make fucked up noises all the time, and you gave us little-to-no info except a fucked up noise. nnout
it's the amp i haven't got around to plugging the guitar in so it was to be the amp as soon as i turn it on noise

R@ndomH3ro
cord or input...
autoteller
could even be a potentiometer on the amp itself. unless the amp has sentimental value, it sounds like that fucker bought the farm. get a VOM/continuity tester and test the inputs/pots. it's cheaper than a new amp
autoteller
oh, and that'll require you to take the head unit out of the combo itself. takes like 5 minutes.
R@ndomH3ro
haha, I am sure that is a higher level then dude can do. Get a new amp
