juiceposse
Where does the ball come into play? This just looks like two teams of white guys beating each other up on a field. Kind of funny but not much of a sport. That's just highlights of the fights in the games. These games (use to) happen 3 times a year in the off season of both football codes. It's a mix of both gaelic football and aussie rules football. It's pretty unfair as the gaelic footballers are for the most part not professional athletes and hold down normal jobs whilst also playing gaelic football whereas the aussie rules players are professional athletes. Every year the Irish teams would get belted physically until the last game when Ireland came out to fight rather than actually play. They still got owned in the process though. It's all been called off though because the Irish don't want to take part in it anymore because of Australia's antics on the field. Oh and in answer to your question the ball can be kicked or handballed into a net or above the goals. for 6 points and 3 points respectfully. It's kind of interesting I guess. The irish are far more skilled with the round ball but the aussies are more ferocious at the player. The game is just seen as a spectacle and nothing more. fakename?
Its basically an excuse for us to take Australian football to Ireland and get in pub fights, and an excuse for the Irish to bring Gaelic football over and get in Pub fights. I prefer just watching the footy.
