i'm in chicago so our growing season feels like 3 months.

i leave them outside a week after mother's day

then i take the tropical plants indoors during the winter

i turn a closet into a grow room. i hope to get a greenhouse eventually

the hardest part is humidity. even with a humidifier it still only gets to

around 50-60% humidity and a lot of tropicals require 80-90%

that variety of passion flower however can be left outside if winterized and

will return in the spring.

Balling out! good work man, props given for sure.

I do alot of gardening we have (4) 4x10 plots in our yard, last year did a bunch of green beans, snap peas, carrots, pumpkins, tomatoes, cukes, assorted greens.

Its so good to come home from work, walk to the garden, eat some freshies...perfect snack on a hot summer day.

we even have tomatoes carrots and beets growing in windows (growing slowwwww) indoors through the winter... never thought it would work but everything is maturing and putting off fruit which is awesome! (will update with pics later)

peeps in the northeast time to start seeding and buying those starters! summer is right around the corner

Suki, really it all depends on where you at. check what other people near you have for gardens/ are growing.

I am no expert but as long as you keep an eye, dont put things in 500000 degree sunlight and keep them wet... you should be good! idea with the cold: bring inside at night? keep on porch or find some sort of cover that will trap heat in there.

everyone needs fresh veggies
