Mercer
XP is the way to go bro, problem is it may not have drivers for quad cores or anything with a lot of ram.
shai
After a year of using Vista, I have to say that it gets a somewhat undeserved bad rap. Most of the things that bugged me at first (different window layout, too many running and/or confusing services, UAC) were easily remedied or I just got used to them. I know I'm probably jinxing myself by saying this, but I can't remember the last time Vista crashed on me. For a Windows product, that's pretty remarkable.
