Where should i move to? Is it fun? Plenty bitches? Hows the graffiti scene? Hows the economy up there? Just fill me in, would it be worth moving? morton
It might be in your best interest to handle any business that needs to be taken care of in Mexico first although you probably have family down there to do that. From what I understand land interests in Mexico can be a little dicey. My buddy Reynaldo owns some land down there and needs to pay someone to keep an eye on it to make sure that the ajoiners do not encroach on his property. May your father rest in peace, thoughts to you and yours.

HydrogenPeroxide
any of the good places to live are going to be expensive like an american city. Except maybe Montreal, I've heard they have the cheap rent and hot girls out there. The economy is better here, you can still get a job, but if you aren't hooked up or have a degree it will be hard to get a good paying one. Unless you're a trades guy, which is going through a bit of a slump.
Papi Drew It
who wants to live in Cincinnati?
Dr. Dose
sorry about your dad. but things are pretty good in canada. if you can handle french people montreal is the place to go. huge city, best graffiti scene, cheap to live, less yuppies than in vancouver. if you like to smoke weed, head out to BC. and yeah there are some decent places to live, edmonton, calgary, saskatoon, ottawa. but its pretty similar to the states with more tim hortons, more hockey, and more winter. morton
Going to Mexico for a while sounds like a good idea to me but of course I know none of the details. Buying a house in some random city does not sound like a good idea to me. I would try to be tight with the inheritance and/or spend it in a manner that reflects the individual who left it to you. morton
To move to get away from things does not always work. There are some things in life that will follow you unless you confront them and handle business. The most obvious thing that follows people is problems with drugs and the like. LUGR
damn...no, is it ever hot? I thought Milwaukee Wisconsin was freezing too? I would head to Mexico and check out the land you have down there. See what you have and if you like it down there. Even if you don't like it there you would need to be down there to sell the land and animals. gasfacevictm
Dude, in all seriousness... TAKE THAT MONEY AND RETIRE IN A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY! The land is cheap. House will be cheap to build. Then open a bar or a scuba business or whatever you like doing and coast until you are an old ass man. My boy is retiring on 50g's in Thailand. Look into it. Maaad countries you can do this in easily. Peep this site and others on google. http://www.internationalliving.com/ R.I.P. to your old man. Hayabusa
you could start a new life if you're smart about it id suggest not worrying much about bitches and graff scene though consider what employable skills you have, and what kind of job you will land. it is likely that u may spend 6+ months renting a place while looking for work, (losing money in the bank) and not getting any income... hell, there is no garauntee u may even find a job at all.... i would move into either vancouver, toronto, or anywhere else thats actually a vibrant city with things to offer (like work opportunity) if your a farm kid, then go somewhere like edmonton, calgary, or if you dont mind being bored, the other two provinces in the middle of canada.... i dont know much more about the very east coast... geezpot
Borderjumping to Canada without citizenship might damper your plans to get work long term or build a career unless you plan on making money under the table hahah that's what most messicans do. RIP to your dad. I would take the inheritance and invest it into gold or property. If you have family in Mexico it might be a great place to go considering you have a chunk of land down there, might be inspiring to hear some of your dad's friends share stories. If you get bored in Mexico then sell the land and invest the money into USA property. You have a good chunk of money sitting on your shoulders, don't blow it on stupid shit especially if you're out of work and in a recession. LosingMyMind
Investing in a property and renting it out is a good idea I would say. Someone I know was in the same situation with inheritance money and did that and it seems to have been a good move. RIP your dad.
