define dubstep...?

half-step bass heavy beats at +/-140 bpm.

obvious reggae/dub/sound system culture influence.

said to evoke a feeling of the coalescence of wilderness and technology.

its what all the kids are into these dayz.

:)

dpm/ rascal - hoe

this is grime, but it could sort of be dubstep too. you can obviously hear the influence and the fact it was prolly made in fruity loops/music2000 on playstation, and not logic 7 rewired to cubase and fucking protools then mastered by simon down at the cunting exchange.

'the coalescence of wilderness and technology' was funny terminology.

Kode9 - 9 Samurai (Quarta 330 8bit remix)

On that same 8-bit vibe, I thought the intro song to Bionic Commando Rearmed was a rad bit of videogame dubstep... from 0:35 - 1:50 at least:

Crazy Titch - Ican C U

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXft6zhGuxg

Classic tune and probably still my favorite grime video. The usual shots of the endz and the crew but just worked a lot better than most, and has that low budget feel that, that always good.

I posted this in the last thread and elsewhere, still a banging track.

The Bug - Skeng

Kode9 Skeng remix

I'll post a better list of stuff some other time, too exhausted just now.
