Granted his sense of floating planes passing one another was somewhat groundbreaking, but he neither invented the design theory, nor perfected it. And from an engineering standpoint, he built things in areas with an infinite amount of space, on a seemingly infinite budget, and was completely apathetic when his building fell apart and needed 4 times the construction cost to fix.
