The nut on the bottom of my idler arm dropped off after turning around in a cul-de-sac. Total steering loss.

2 minutes earlier I'd been doing 65 on the highway...

I rolled onto the sidewalk, as it didn't register wtf was happening, found the dropped nut and bushing, Got a ride the auto store for the missing cotter pin and got it straight--and I didn't even need to have my alignment re done.

I'd noticed my steering was a bit squishy but had decided to ignore it... I very well could have died/killed others/fml.

Which is why I will some day own a BMW M5 and I will take all of you for a ride

Hell yeah.

Old guy at my work that is a duplicate of Mr.Magoo parked next to me yesterday. Never really talked with him, not sure even what he does there, but had a classic car racing club sticker on the back of his rust bucket jeep. As we walked in he told me he used to have two AC Cobra's, but then sold em. He then in the same breath said he owns an M5 and a Ferrari Modena.

Im gonna try to get him to let me drive both.

I actually built this car. That orange 935 I posted a page back is the third car I've built for the same customer. The owner is a semi pro driver who races ALMS and IMSA.. He has quite the stable of cars.
