freighthunter
canucks played well tonight...nobody crashing the net really and solid D all around. now lets go anaheim
skeedupfromthefeetup
guerin hasnt done shit either, what about gonchar as well... guerin was brought in to put pucks in on crosbys line, thats it, nothing else except for veteran leadership and putting in passes from crosby.. maybe a lil slot work on the pp too true....and gonchar shoulda never let ovechkin walk in like that and use him as a screen i also saw gonchar let a couple pucks get by at the blue line that he usually keeps in im also wondering where all the physical play went that the pens were using against philly
blackboatshoes
fucking bullshit ref blew the whistle WAY WAY WAY to fucking early. that puck was lose as hell, the ref is supposed to make it to the back of the net before he blew it no fucking blow it from the side of the net where he could only see hiller. BS!

metronome
YAP wings are getting ripped off hard by that call such bullshit how they won't review a whistle blow dumb prick just cost the wings game
blackboatshoes
did you guys see.. the puck went in the fucking net like 8 tenths of a second before the fucking ref blew the whistle FUCKING BULL SHIT. talk about the refs favoring anahiem that game, they just don't want the wings to win, NHL conspiracy! haha. the ref was on the left side of the net, all he could see was hiller, that was a terrible call. he should have got to the back of the net before blowing the whistle so he could at least see the whole net and not just hiller. wings def. got robbed, lets hope the refs rob the ducks in game 4 and game 5. metronome
they say the rule is 'intent to blow the whistle' so it doesn't even matter if he blows it late, it matters when it was intended to be blown such a gay rule, I think they should review whistle blows just like every other play
john brown
that was some bullshit, I'm mad.
blackboatshoes
yeah, that was bullshit i hate that fucking rule, i think if it's a situation like that one they should review it because that would have changed the game, they should review it... no just fucking say "oh intent to blow the whistle before hossa got to it" FUCKING BULLSHIT. they should say "lets review it because it could make the game different"
metronome
Yeah I agree with that. in a 5-1 game it wouldn't make any difference. but in a 2-1 PLAYOFF game, for fucks sake... ref should be suspended for a few games or something
blackboatshoes
yeah exactly, sure in a fucking blow out it wouldn't matter. but in a situation like that it's almost like how can you not fucking review it anyway and change the call? that's just a dumb fucking move on the nhls part in my opinion, a dumb fucking rule. Weapon X
WOW DETROIT JUST GOT FUCKING ROBBED. THOSE REFS ARE GARBAGE! I WAS WATCHING ON MUTE, TALKING TO TWO PEOPLE NEXT TO ME AT THE BAR, WITH BLURRIED VISION AND WAS INSTANTLY "WWWWTTTFFFF?!!!" Detroit will win the series, still. mosluggo
Wow i guess im the only one glad the wings lost. oh well. Thats too bad about the refs, in all seriousness. Sounds like some are on the take. Wouldn't suprise me. Sounded like the hawks played like shit. More dumb penalties. Coming from behind every game isnt a good strategy. They need to get up, then they can play their game. srebmun
The Pheonix thing sucks. Pheonix is a huge market, they could definitely fill some seats. Hockey should be thinking about what's best for the future. I'm all for the Hamilton thing, but there are some other, smaller, more backwards places that have hockey teams, take one of them, leave Pheonix alone, Blackberry guy. metronome
phoenix filed for bankruptcy my dude, there is no market with old retired white folks for NHL hockey, they just want to golf

blackboatshoes
how about fucking tampa bay lighting and florida panthers, move all teams from the south there is no market there. what does the south know about hockey? nothing, they'd rather shoot guns and yeehaw and ride bulls and shit. metronome
Lucic just put Boston up 1-
freighthunter
Carolina made it in a similar market to those other southern teams so who knows what could happen.. Being a team in those cities it is alot harder to draw the likes of a really good GM, coach management etc.. rather than living in a city with a huge market, which goes hand in hand with having a good team.. making the playoffs and bringing in a good crowd and making the sport grow in popularity within the city. I think the hamilton idea is a cool concept and a team would do well there but we really dont need to be takinig teams out of the west and bringing them east.. the season of travel for the western conference teams is bad enough as it is with detroit, nashville etc. anyways i dont really care either way its not my money. metronome
I don't think being in a big hockey market necessarily brings in a good coach, good GM, etc, look at fucking edmonton. One of the best hockey cities in the league and we haven't had a decent team in YEARS. Carolina won the cup that year, which exposed a lot of people down there to playoff hockey, but it seems like they only remember they have an NHL team once a year. I do agree with you though, taking a team out of the west is a bad idea. The east has it easy when it comes to road games compared to the west, everything is too spread out. on another note, this caps/pens game is pretty intense right now
freighthunter
also ive always wondered why seattle is never seriously considered for a team.. i know theres a lot of hockey played in that city.
