drinking this tonight. Duly impressed. Most of you fools didn't like matilda, which this beer reminds me of, so you probably wouldn't think too highly of sofie, but I find this beer pretty amazing. Saison, fermented with some wild yeasts ( a slight brett twang is apparent) , partially aged in wine barrels with orange peels. Compared to matilda, this is a bit spicier and more tart, definitely a bit funkier and slightly lower in alcohol, with a stronger citric flavor from the orange rind. Maybe I'll drink a matilda afterwards to compare. This stacks up nicely to any saison I've tried, belgian or otherwise...
