the.crooked
That elk burger is fucking delicious. I was in PDX for about a day before I got to hit up their brewhouse. So goddamn good. Choc- Portland is mad fucking cheap. It's cus there is honestly so little money in their entire economy because of the unemployment rate. I would not hate living there at all. After I finish grad school I'm gonna be looking into positions there, cus pulling down numbers I will make after school, I could live like a king and still pay off my loans in a responsible amount of time. count chocula
green dragon that light colored taster was a chamomile brew - not my taste, but it was very interesting forget what the pint was exactly - some ultra hoppy ipa as is par for the course in pdx. thecarwreck
I just moved to Washington and they've got a shitload of beer out here. this month's selections: (this stuff. fuck yes) (the choice for the next 4 months at least) I don't think I've had a bad beer or cider out here. Was at Full Sail last weekend... hook up the LTD #3 if you can find it.... too good.

mackfatsoe
haha wait what does elysian have to do with sub pop? I mean I could google but naw
thecarwreck
Rumble is pretty nice... not as oaky as I expected but noticeably different from a "regular" IPA. Easy on the hops though so that might be a big part of it. And that Elysian Loser is some SubPop 20th anniversary thing... they were on sale 2 for $5 so I figured what the hell... actually really good. It's supposed to be a pale ale but I felt like I was drinking a lager.
Fist 666
welcome to washington. if you're near tacoma pm me, i can give you a decent list of places you have to get to beer-wise
crime stoppers
Drank the Stones Belgique IPA, basically their normal IPA with Belgian yeast. Found it to be pretty fucking average was expecting a fair bit more, it was definitely a decent beer but way too similar to their standard. the.crooked
I think I can say with certainty, that aside from the standards of ArrogantBastard, and the Pale Ale, the 15th is the best beer they have made since the Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout during the hop shortage. count chocula
Stone ipa is, hands down, the best bang for your buck ipa imo

MrChupacabra
I think I can say with certainty, that aside from the standards of ArrogantBastard, and the Pale Ale, the 15th is the best beer they have made since the Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout during the hop shortage. Thats a bold statement. I very rarely drink anymore, due to chronic headaches, but I'm going to have to go out and grab a bottle of the 15th now. I tend to agree with most of your beer choices (excluding lambics and other bullshit) and I'm a strong proponent of most of Stone's offerings. I'm actually drinking the first beer I've had in over a month currently. Sierra Nevada pale ale, since it's what I've had sitting in my fridge for a long ass time. Might have to crack one of the two Old Rasputin's I've had sitting around for a little over a year, after I finish this.
menaceIIsobriety
since it's about Stone for the moment, reached into the arsenal & cracked this. and i am pretty happy about it. 10.5%, wish i would have grabbed two.
MrChupacabra
I've heard mixed reviews on the Belgo Anise stuff. How does that compare to their normal Imperial Russian Stout?
menaceIIsobriety
i like that too, there is not many of their beers i dont like. not as overpowering as i expected, i was a bit intimidated by the whole anise thing being like too licorice liike tasting...but it smells great & its a damn good beer. and i'm buzzing of one bottle. so i cant complain.
