count chocula
 i must say i'm a fan of the sierra ovila -- was sceptical, but sierra did something they've never managed to do -- make a beer that doesn't taste like sierra! will drink again. also - pretty things jack d'or is some awesomely dry funky goodness. Newer Bigger Better
I don't think i would... It's not chopped up or anything, you're just using it as some sort of weird pre cooked garnish.. The rest of it looks good though.
misterblunt
yeah those cilantro sprigs are chuckle inducing for certain.

Fist 666
I don't think that cilantro is doing much on that chicken bro. ha. i saw that before i read the beer label. i've had some pakistani and indian recipes that just use it whole like that, but you use a shit ton of it, not one sprig per thigh. Newer Bigger Better
Agreed. And chop it up. it doesn't do anything like that.

the.crooked
I find it best to use it in the marinade itself, so that the essential oils can get into it without the necessity of the leaf. Which of course will still be good as it sticks to the cooking meat.
menaceIIsobriety
yep, i did that also to both batches over night. which was why the lack of it was even on there. (just didn't feel like expaining it to the internet)

eviltrailer77
Indian Wells Brewing CO. is good shit, Mojave Red is one of my favorite session beers and the Lobotomy Bach is mind blowing. The Mojave Gold is OK, but not their best effort. Lived out there for a bit was on tap everywhere

the.crooked
Bump. Had one of these last night: It was batch 13 from 2009. So it was actually older than i initially thought. It was good, some of the sourness dropped out, and it almost just tasted coppery. It was way lively, still. I think it was over the hill. I probably should have had it when I bought it, but I thought it was only from 2010, not 2009. I wouldn't let an amber sit for two years. Oh well, still good. anything goes
La Roja is a great beer. I was drinking some JP oro de calabaza last night. I also had a snifter of 2008 DFH World Wide Stout
the.crooked
oro de calabaza is delish. Also, magic hat is now owned by pyramid brewing, however I suspect it's not like their quality can be brought down much more. I still maintain that Long Trail is the superior VT brewery. Nothing quite like double bag bombers in the mountains surrounded by snow and smoking a blunt in a short bus that you broke into.
Newer Bigger Better
Has anyone tried this Newcastle werewolf brew? i was gonna cop it today, but without a % i couldn't commit, even for 14 bucks for a 12er pic related:
mackfatsoe
got this for my girl, tried it for the first time....ugh I knew it would be sweet, but wowowow toothache, thought about mixing it 50/50 with a high life forty but it kinda defeated the purpose of doing something nice so
anything goes
I can't get down with lambics, I've had some really good krieks though. I think cutting the lambic and adding the sour element makes it more palatable. I've had 2 parts allagash white mixed with 1 part framboise...belgian sunrise and that shit was tasty. My girl and I had a framboise and vanilla icecream float and I'd definitely recommend that. /my .02 cents
anything goes
I found a random beer spot in a small town while on vacation last week, picked up the following that I'll be drinking at my homies bachelor party next week: Sierra 30th - Barley Wine, Grand Cru and Helles Bock (all of these have been sold out in my city for months) Finally got my hands on this -
