anything goes
I had the Victory Festbier last night (on draft) and was really disappointed but maybe I just don't like the style. I'll be trying the great lakes and bells tonight.

Also, I need to find some beers from Mikkeller. Still never seen them.

count chocula
that curiex fuuuuucks with my head -- some serious intoxication with that one. this, however, is on point: de ranke guldenberg drink it — you'll like it.
the.crooked
if you can find it right now, get the cuvee de ranke as well. it's sooooooooo good. it's a mix of a gueze and a lambic.
testpattern
does anybody else like this? it's one of my favorites ever and they stopped selling it at the montrose kroger like 2 years ago. can't find it anywhere else, but i haven't been on a proper hunt for it either. the.crooked
Dude, if you are near the montrose kroger in houston, do yourself a favor and go to D&Q Beer Station on stanford and richmond. Five minutes away. Best selection in houston.

anything goes
I was let down by the Wrath of Pecant and Fat Tire, the Life and Limb was a really good beer. The maple syrup taste wasn't overwhelming and the 10% abv was subdued by the strong malt presence. This beer was released last winter and I had it a few weeks ago, I think aging this beer helped quell the syrup sweetness that people complained about plus we split the bomber between a few people. mdot
Just picked up a 6'er of this. I love the original. Kinda bitter and reminds me of this
john_gacy
Might have posted this before but this shit is good, limited distribution. I'm not a big believer in aging shit, but I had the chance to have the 2008 and am drinking the 2006 now and I have to say you can tell that the taste does come out more. Shit is good on tap. Not the best pumpkin I've ever had, but pretty good on tap I tells ya. Couldn't find a good pic. Black Bear Blueberry Ale, not good. This was served to me w/ some wild blueberries added in that gave he head a blueish tint. Didn't help the tast one bit. Good on tap, had a little sample of everything they had to offer & most of it was decent.
wastedyouthkid
About that time of year. Not a pumpkin beer fan but this isn't to bad.
MrChupacabra
I refuse to believe that you honestly think Arrogant Bastard (Oaked or not) tastes anything like 1554.
menaceIIsobriety
About that time of year. Not a pumpkin beer fan but this isn't to bad. this tasteless shit of a beer is thee worst excuse i EVER tasted for a "pumpkin ale" reminded me of watered down squash & bleach! & i'ts made by Coors... rather drink Coors. itsallafarce
picked up a sixer of this the other day. pretty good not as strong as most IPA's i drink only 5.5% but not bad at all.

john_gacy
No pic for what I'm drinking now- Blackstrapped Molasses by the Atlantic Brewing Company. Limited distribution around New England, possibly further, it's a 7.6% ale brewed with molasses and ginger. The two tastes really battle it out with each other as you drink it but seem to blend together nicely on the finish. They say you can age this too.
