My girl and I helped a friend move today and accidentally locked the cat in the bedroom. When we got home we found she had taken a shit in there, and we couldn't be mad because it was our fault, but what was fucking hilarious was that she shit in the dog's bed. She's smart. She was acting normal, but pissing blood. Now she's on meds and not pissing blood, but pissing much more often and on the floor outside her pad. We were at Ikea today and bought one of these for her: So far we've tempted her to go through twice for treats, but for the most part she just sits and barks at it. It was only $10, so no big loss. My girl had a UTI right after she got spayed, poor thing so I wipe her gina with a baby wipe every evening or if need be bathe her. The vet I was seeing gave us 12 days of antibiotics to rid of the problem and turned out was not enough so it came back, I was fucking pissed! Poor thing had to endure that pain a little longer. She seemed fine until today when i caught her walking funny. then saw she wouldn't sit down and only lay. Now i can see her ankles swollen pretty bad. but i don't think it's broken. called the community pet hospital and those fuckers are booked. but the mspca (some Yale hospital for dogs type shit) is available but its 156$ just for the visit. i love my pooch to death but i'll be fucking furious if i took her and those bastards say some "oh just keep an eye on it" shit. similar situations/suggestions? MALIK78 Posted March 10, 2011 Share Posted March 10, 2011 my suggestion is to make an appointment with the community pet hospital to get you in asap...just better than calling everyday and finding out their booked everyday..def wrap it & ice it for her if she lets you... you can also maybe give her some ibuprofen for the swelling... think if you look online you should be able to find the proper dose that will help her or you can swing by PetCo or Pet Smart and see what they have as far as otc painkillers ... but since its in one of her crucial walking areas i would def make an appointment to get her seen..better safe than sorry, i hope she’s ok homie and i hope it all works out…poor pooch Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'd do it just to put my mind to rest. Bug broke out in hives from an allergic reaction to vaccinations. So we freaked out and looked it up online, and it said to take her to the hospital immediately. So we did. It ended up costing me $300 and all they did was give her benedryl and keep her overnight for monitoring. It sucked, but it was a weight off my shoulders. So drop the money and let them tell you "she just needs to have it wrapped." It's better than wondering if she's ok. How is she walking? A little bigger than what I was looking for, but there are 2 perfect females and they need a home. Picking one up on 4/10. Both look like a pot belly pig. Those are the 2 females left.
