angelofdeath Posted April 9, 2008 Share Posted April 9, 2008 Yo out of curiosity, if the next standard military rifle, packs the the punch of a 30mm canon, has a 200 round magazine and no recoil do you still want the individual right own it? yes. citizens already naturally have this right. all rights are natural to citizens. since citizens created the government, how can the government have a right the citizens didnt already have? lets face facts. some 170 million people were killed by thier own governments in this century, excluding wars. why is everyone so worried about citizens with these 'horrible weapons' when it is governments that threw people in concentration camps, starved them to death, worked them to death, shot them for having differing political views than the 'revolution,' exterminated them for being of a different race than the ones power, fire bombed cities full of civilians, dropped nuclear bombs killing countless people, engaged in wars that were not defensive in nature. i could go on. but why do people automatically think that governments only use these weapons for just purposes?
