Shortly before midnight Monday, the girl walked into the Mapco Express at 1501 Murfreesboro Road and demanded the clerk give her money from the register, according to a Franklin police news release. The child then threw a rock the size of a baseball at the clerk, hitting him in the chest. She demanded money and left after the clerk told her to leave the store. Police caught her near Williamson Medical Center. Police said she snuck out of her Franklin home before she went to the store. Police file attempted aggravated robbery petitions against the girl.
