Decyferon
I know I should be shocked but it is what I expect of most police forces from around the world
WORDISM45
cops are weak people on power trips
TreSixO
i remember going to the UN building when I was little in the city for the summer. That was weird, seeing a mesh of streets from my childhood and all that
Malin
Yea the way the police handled this does not surprise me one bit.
El Mamerro
Watching these videos makes me uncomfortable, cause I fucking hate obnoxious protesters and I know it's wrong to like seeing their asses kicked.
russell jones
I agree, I protest, but I don't act like an idiot and call cops names.
war terror
damn... dumb idea taunting cops, but still

Qawee
to remind you, these are buddhists they are beating up....they don't believe in violence. Tell that to the government of Sri Lanka
lord_casek
Tell that to the government of Sri Lanka i would if i could, but i'm talking about buddhists in new york city u.s.a. not sri lankan military police.
russell jones
to remind you, these are buddhists they are beating up....they don't believe in violence. Buddhists are not inherently non-violent, but I agree with you that most in America would be.
WORDISM45
calling buddhists non violent is like calling Christians non violent. ie its not true
russell jones
true... all people follow all religions, even violent ones. Christianity has just as much potential to have non-violent followers as Buddhism.
Daniel Dumielle
Most people in Thailand are Buddhist, and I wouldn't say they're all non-violent. On the other hand, yelling insults isn't just cause for beating someone. If you're a police officer that is.
Decyferon
agreed completely, as a member of the police force you should be able to keep your calm in tense situations and those meathead fuckwit police officers just seem like bullies and thugs. To think that those are the people who are supposed to protect you is a joke!!
graffiti_dood
The police played there role. yes it's shit what they did, but things like this tenfold publicity.
ILOTSMYBRAIN
Did they get obnoxious before the cops decided to unlawfully harass peaceful protestors or did they become obnoxious after the fact? Seriously any person treats me like that you best believe I'm going to let them know how I feel. Cop, religious figure, political figure head, your mom. It doesn't make a difference. thecoldmidwest
I've watched and read way to much about police brutality in they last few months. Makes me not want to leave my house... I remember when a was visiting Washington D.C. a few summers ago, some guy at the capitol building holding a machine gun said some rude provocative thing to me. I got right up in his face and started arguing with him like an idiot. If it wasn't for his gun I'd have punched him in the face. You can't win with authority, you have to be their bitch. I just can't take that. So I try to drive slow and avoid all confrontation with them.

Odds are stacked against you when your fighting authority in a country turning authoritarian. You take the police to court, odds are you'll lose. I really wish more people would take the Constitution more seriously. "The Constitution is just a piece of paper" - G. W. Bush How are people supposed know how to protect their rights when they don't know what they are? And the people who are sworn in to protect those right violate and ignore them? I try to be optimistic most of the time but all of this is so depressing.
lord_casek
my personal views are: they are right and the constitution is right. no matter what. if you lose in civil court, take it higher.
