1.hall and oats- maneater

2.blondie-heart of glass

3.ramones-the kkk took my baby away

4.david bowie- all the madmen

5.billy idol- white wedding

6.king diamond- the invisible guests

7.lynard skynard- freebird

8.iron madien- run to the hills

9.the x-ray specs- oh bondage

i completely agree with you

new music is nothing compared to the old skool, and life is to short to listen to bad music...

marvin gaye, al green, eddie kendricks, killing joke, gap band, bar-kays, aything stax, mel and tim, commodores, 4 tops, crown heights affair, tower of power, imagination, parlet, starguard, even gordon lightfoot i fuck with

somewhere around 88 the only music that became worht a shit was hip hop and hardcore

Hip hop producers who sample are running out of material to incorporate in this new commercial radio rap era. I couldnt fucking believe I heard a radio rap song that sampled the Crystal Waters "Gypsy Woman" shit from the 90s. Its like, are you fucking serious? Like that song is even worthy of sampling, and why? I dont remember it making much of an impact even back then.

if you think music sucks now you're listening to shit to begin with.

sure, certain things have been established as classic, and some for good reason. most of what gets remember is shitty pop from a different era.

i'm constantly finding new music that is mindblowing.

maybe jazz will never be what it once was, but i'm pretty confident that ALL art is progressing.

Not to me...I'd never heard of Joy Division until a few years ago, when they were everyone's favorite band.

I listened to Rap, Rock, and Metal growing up.

same here, but i was lucky enough to be exposed to punk and new wave too.

i have tickets to see maiden on the 14th! i am psyched!

I only listen to a few punk bands...Ramones, Butthole Surfers, Dead Milkmen and that's all I can think of....

Is Bruce Dickinson doing the show? If not, I wouldn't even bother going to go see Maiden.
