vanfullofretards
Anyone with a good vibe for where things are at in the gun world right now... Would this be a solid buy for $350? Mossberg Tactical .
eviltrailer77
If you have an AR-15 these are great for cheap training/plinking. I have heard really bad things about the colt version, but not too much about the others.
vanfullofretards
I do not have an AR-15... this would be my first rifle actually. Is $350 a good price though? I have no idea if that is steep or not.

Mossberg Tactical .22 Awesome, nice choice. That was my entry-level gun i bought before i built my AR-15. I still have that Mossberg .22. I will post pictures of it close-up and with details tomorrow. Its a very reliable gun, and 350$ is pretty good, i'd definitely get it. fat ralphy
Just copped one of these as a first rifle.... S&W MP15 .22LR Couldn't even find anything reasonable, same shop AR's were going for a grand more than MSRP. This shit is ridiculous right now. I look forward to having this to shoot inexpensively and learn on. Meh. (I really wanted to find a S&W MP15 Sport, but like most places shit is not in stock or crazy inflated) Almost bought a Springfield Arms 9mm, but decided I would rather wait until I can find a Glock in stock somewhere. Dude at the shop was like we can't even keep anything on the shelves. I would have liked to go with the Sig they had but too pricey at $899. Cool_Hand
Try the ruger SR-22 .. it's an aluminum chasis and not cheap/synthetic/plastic I held that S&W recently and it felt like a toy. Also there are issues with quick Mag changes. My .

Guest
any advice for what to look for in a good bolt carrier group? BCG and charging handle will be all i need once my upper gets here. looks like charging handle is personal preference?
CACashRefund
Ruger 22s are really adaptable, ive seen all kinds of stock kits for that, the swmp15 is a decent 22 rifle, my boy copped one of those when they were at big5 I was thinking about copping an hk 22 And not the gsg5 22s I heard hk came out with copies of the mp5 and mp5sd in 22 form

eviltrailer77
@ boats: I honestly don't see the need for all those ambi charging handles and "tac latches". As for BCG's as long as it meets mil spec and it head spaces right it should be more than sufficient. All the nickel boron and titanium nitride coatings are overkill unless you ride stealth helos in to compounds in Pakistan.

That's what I was thinking about the BCGs I'll probably just grab a charging handle at the gun show or something
Fist 666
couldn't back out? i got hung up on my frame in snow yesterday. that took for fucking ever to get out. (sold my winch because i don't use it enough... and my come along was conveniently located in my garage with my tow straps)
Guest
Way worse than it looks in the pics. Looked like he had tries to get put but he only had 2wd Why risk it with all us in trucks with tow straps 20ft drop or so on the other side The way his front wheel was dragging across the edge I bet his alignment was majorly fucked
