I'm actually learning something on the internet right now (thanks, casek!). Whether it's of any value is debatable, but I'm getting a kick out of it. There were two dive bars at opposite ends of my town. The one on the north end of town was called the Doghouse, and the south one was called My Brother's Place. My Brother's Place was the one I went to. Only beer they had was Micheloeb on tap, for a buck fifty. Shots were three, four for call. Twenty bucks went a LONG way at My Brother's Place. I stopped going there after I passed out in the alley next to my house, and woke up face down in the dirt. I never went to the Doghouse, though. It just looked fucked up and all kinds of bad. AA is cool if you need it and it works for you. I'm a little too hardheaded to make it work for me, but I did stay sober while I was going to meetings. Most of the time I've wasted on the net besides porno for the past 7 years has been this site. I found 12oz through Hifiart.com and got hooked. Graff flicks from everywhere, all the fun graffiti gossip, and all the stupid funny shit that goes around the net gets posted in Channel 0. It rarely gets boring around here. earl broclo ESQ Posted January 20, 2008 Share Posted January 20, 2008 i'm definitely an addict. i know it's an addiction, because loved ones (my ladyfriend) confront me on it. she thinks i spend too much time on here, and doesn't understand how i can be on one website for so long. i try to explain that if it's not the ch.0 banter, it's the photos being posted or the VIP section. originally, i came here just looking for the magazine, then found the photos, and when that got boring, ch.0 took over. i think if anything, this forum is a good study of how a cyber community functions and how anonymous friendships are formed. it's weird how people support each other, console each other, help each other, etc. yet most of us don't even know each other's name, no matter true personality. in reality, i have few friends around me. to tell the truth, i spend most of my time with my ladyfriend, or the rare occassion we go out with her friends. i just moved to nyc in september, leaving a very healthy social life and group of friends behind me. it's been hard to "make friends" so far in new york. i think in a way, 12oz fills a part of that void subconsciously. so yeah, i'm an addict.
