Thanks.

Just got back from the ride and have a nice little tone going off inside my ears. Shit bumps! Now I need to buy be a Decibel reader or something.

Does anyone know of a program out there that reads decibel readings? Using a comp mic? Or am i gonna have to go on ebay and find one and spend money?

I didnt add bracing because the board was 17 1/4 long, yours seems to be longer, so i didnt need them.

As for routing, i dont have one, so i used body filler instead and then came back and sanded it round.

Did you know you can bend MDF board? I couldnt find the video where it shows making partial cuts on the board, making the board bend. However, this is another method to bend wood...

My 17.25x15 boards are bent. Sorry for not taking pictures of it. I just took quick snap shots.

Those bends are genius.

As for DB meters, you might have to get a specialty one.

Some mic's can't pick up low frequencies well and will give you a wrong reading.

Sounds expensive. I want one where you attach it to the windshield.

The L5 does have a lower starting value for frequency response ( 18 - 100Hz )

This lets it play the lower freq's that the thunder 9500 can't play.

BUT

The 9500 has a wider frequency range than the L5 ( 32 - 150Hz )

This gives the 9500 more kick than the L5 but the L5 has a lower Hum.

( The sound you hear after a bass frequency is started. )

The L5's square construction also causes some distortion that isn't present in the 9500.

Making the 9500 clearer than the L5's

Therefore, if you want loud, go with the L5.

If you want clear sound with a kick, go with the 9500.

I made a quick Video of it.....

Things I still need to do.

Have too much rattle, but its only the back two windows, and license plate.

My Bose Mids need to be in a box cuz I have too much voice. Ill just buy them instead of builting one.

Finish Hiding the wires for the small amp.

Thats it.

u can try aero ports.

Not a big fan of aero ports. Since i have lots of open area in my car, i need a big port.

usually, i put a board in the center of the port to separate each speaker's sound, but decided to take it out and combine both sounds to create a bigger sound with more force.

All of my rattling is gone, wires hidden, and everything looks clean. Sound wise, low frequencies hit hard, crystal clear sounds, and havent had an incident where the music cuts off because of a blown fuse or something broke lose.

alright since you fuckers ignored my post can you at least answer this question

is it worth putting component speakers in the rear and having 3-way speakers in the front?

i've been told it isn't worth it since back speakers are for fill, BUT i've heard that's only in cars.

i own a jeep grand cherokee.
