Civilian-Military Relations.

Recommended Posts

okay so my classes are just starting, and one of them is a class called civil-military relations. it seems pretty good, and almost all of the readings are pdfs. if people are interested, ill post them in this thread. i feel like most of the people on here are very politicized, however i often find the sources that people use on here problematic. if people are interested, every week ill post a couple pdf files.

the teacher seems like a pretty informed guy- was in the pentagon on 9/11, been to afghanistan four times, and guaranteed a lot of insight into the long lasting damage that rumsfeld caused in his tenure.

let me know if people are interested.

yup yup.

i am interested as well.

i also have a friend who has been back only a few weeks since finishing his first tour.

so if anyone is interested i have some thoughts on my personal interactions with him and the capacity in which our friendship has changed and grown while he was there.

here goes-

this is the first 2 week's readings, in addition to the book civilian control by michael desch. i don't know if this needs to be said, but as far as reading these articles go, your only reading them if you are given access to such journals, through your university, local library or subscription, or whatever. this isn't an album trader thread, just a bibliography.

edit* i decided to take off the citation from this page, but if you want a syllabus pm me, you can still find all the information in the pdf.
