Whoops big ol' brown snake.

These guys are very common in australia.

They turn up in gardens and in laundries all the time and they are pretty hard to see.

They are poisonous but if we'd gotten bitten it would be unlikely to be fatal for a few hours.

pretty chill

Considered the world's second-most venomous land snake after the inland taipan(Oxyuranus microlepidotus), based on its LD50value (subcutaneous) in mice, it is responsible for about 60% of human snake-bite deaths in Australia.[a] The main effects of its venom are on the circulatory system—coagulopathy, haemorrhage (bleeding), cardiovascular collapse, and cardiac arrest. One of the main components of the venom is the prothrombinase complex pseutarin-C, which breaks down prothrombin.

Bet there's people quietly living inside some of those storage lockers.

So your dog did his job, good boy?

I've left some brown snakes in the grass here in the States.  Non-poisonous, but you still wouldn't want to step on 'em.

yeah he's a good boy for that stuff.

Actually he's a good boy period!

The storage units probably don't have people living in them because you can't access them outside hours so you'd be trapped in there during the weekends. and you'd have to sign in. and out - it's not like those 24 hour places where you can come and go as you please.

I do think I could live in Australia despite having seen Crocodile Dundee numerous times.

It's chill down here.

Apparently the climate in my city is basically San Jose CA

I went past the "walkabout creek" hotel from Crocodile Dundee the other day.

Funny you'd think it was out in the boonies but it's on the highway on outskirts of Darwin.
