anyone got any idea what seens outline colors could be?

 

actually looks like Burnt Orange Krylon... which isn't very thick usually. it's too dull for Orange Rusto, not bright enough as Screaming Orange Wet Paint, Red Devil didn't make that color, not that it can't be a different brand. but unless that photo's colors are off, that's the closest color match i can estimate.

 

lots of smaller companies made orange, but it was often a brighter color. color-matching to old trains can be really tough however. like that darker blue in the cloud that matches the MTA stripe perfectly...

probably plain ol' adobe or terra cotta???

 

Yeah, i thought about those (especially Adobe) being feasible, but those are more brown than orange and on top of that, they only came out around '80 (they were the New 80's Designer's Colors). Seen's piece would have to have been done after those came out. Does anyone know the date of that piece?

the color of the outline was rusto fire hydrant red
