bodice_ripper
Floyd rock man - be proud of prog rock dammit! PS I went to see Jethro Tull last week, good all round gig, but Ian Anderson really does seem to believe he is some sort of elf.............. Smart
Originally posted by bodice_ripper Ian Anderson really does seem to believe he is some sort of elf... this is in NO WAY an understatement, HAHAHAHA... actually, I don't think he does it anymore but during the 70's and into the late 80's Ian included a backflip in his flute solo and doubtless on the Floyd tip, I saw them way back in the 80's on the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour, it was awesome but of course there was no Roger Waters... and Syd... but still, I'm a guitar player so, Dave Gilmour was fucking awesome to see
Jam On It
Floyd is mega serious. up until about 6 months ago I wasn't really up on any rock other than some chili peppers and a few others let alone pink floyd. but time was generous and my roomate at the time put me on to some really inspiring music ie. pink floyd. bodice_ripper
Roger Waters is playing in Dublin next summer, but the motherfucking tickets are like £55! I've NO idea what that is in dollars, but its at least £30 more than I paid to see U2 in 97, and I think that is fucking cheeky of Mr. Waters...... suburbian bum
yes, dark side of the moon rules. One of the best albums of all time, and then how it goes with wizard of oz, its just amazeing. One of the best songs is The Great Gig In The Sky. The sound of it is just pure fucking amazement. Thank god for drugs influenceing rock and roll..... Dr. Dazzle
It's all about Syd. My dad has his autograph from way back before he went crazy. Floyd are still good without him, but they were better with him.
