Pistol
i had dvdshrink and nero on my desktop. but for some reason nero fucked up and keeps on giving me errors when i try to open it up. tried dloading a new version of nero for my laptop to be compatable with shrink. no dice. so i dloaded the trial version of AnyDVD (decrypts) and CloneDVD (compresses). Works with the burning software that came with vista. So I'm gonna purchase the two in a couple days when my trial runs out. The good thing about AnyDVD is it gets updated and you get unlimited upgrades when you buy, so when they come out with better encryption tools that prevent you from making legal backup copies of the DVD's you own, AnyDVD will come up with an upgrade after. http://www.slysoft.com

DVDFLICK is the best. give it a try, make sure to change from PAL to NTSC in project settings (if you live in the states)
