Hey, I got an Old Spice Classic Stick deodorant and I emptied it out and cleaned it and it is drying on my countertop. I am going to use a glue gun to seal the bottom after it dries. I still have the feeling that I am going to fuck up on the nib and ruin the whole thing.. any last minute tips?

ive seen the waterbottle markers, except with a gatorade bottle (gatorade bottles hold better than the normal waterbottles), then, it was full of pilot ink and it had a kiwi mop nib on it. i almost shit my pants when i saw that. it held so much ink.:D

i found some shit on this site about making your own markers, its interesting shit.... have a look-see:

*1* Making Markers *1*

If you didnt read the FAQ on how to make a marker yet, you dont really

need to, cuz its real long and tedious. Just do this and still work the

same way but wont take you three weeks to complete you project.

Step 1.

Get a stick of deoderant, i like the blue arrid xtra dry container, be

sure to get the longer size, and rightguard works good too its just

bulkier to carry. Whichever you get be sure to grab the lid off of off

another stick of the same brand. You will also need a felt chalkboard

eraser from school or a teacher's supply store ( get the all felt kind

and not one with the wood backing, this will serve as your tip and

resovoir, and wont shove in like the sock method. So in all you have 2

lids, 1 container, and one chalkboard eraser.

Step 2.

Use the deoderant excessively or dump all of its contents out and then

take a screwdriver or something and pry of the little twisty thing at

the bottom, and rip out the plastic toothpick thing inside if it didnt

fall out already.

Step 3.

Take the eraser and cram it in the container, look through the bottom

hole of it and leave about 1 cm. of clearance, this is so filling it

will be easier. Now try to put the lid on, and see how much of the

eraser you need to chop off to get the lid on where it fits normaly. On

the eraser there are about six or seven seperate pieces of felt sown

together, you may need to hack on of these of so it will fit in your

container, but it should still fit snugly.

Step 4.

Now that youve got the eraser the size you need it put it back in still

leaving the clearence at the bottom. If you have it take a hot glue gun

and seal off all the cracks and all around the eraser, it doesnt take

but a thin seal. Epoxy or wood glue will work if you cant use hot glue.

Step 5.

Fill your new weapon with your ink of choice, through the hole at the

bottom, slowly so it will all bleed down to the tip, this takes a while

so be patient. Now take one of your lids and slide it over the bottom of

the container. Take the other and cap it off, done.

......thats some interesting shit

Never used those marker..

Anyway I accomplished making my first chalk eraser mop! I made it out of a round stick deodorant and it is so fucking nice. Now I know why omen two liked em so much. It was messy as a bitch and got on my brand new shirt and pants, but it makes me happy. Anyone know how to get garvey off a shirt? Is it possible? There is one minor problem with the mop, I used 2 strips to fit snugly in the top, but whenever I use it the nib like shifts and I have to put on gloves and move it in to place. I really want to get one of these arrid xx things but I can't get them around here anywhere. Also when I put the cap on it drips down the sides, this is a messy bitch but it taught me how to do eraser nibs, and I will look forward to getting an arid xx bottle. Thanks omen.

Stain Pics - The Marker is covered in ink so I can't pick it up to to take the pic.

WOWIE!

good job chumba!! man how big is tha mark?

~in unrelated matters... (completely irrelevant...) stupid wind made the spraypaint blow onto my hands... only the right hand was covered... aww shit... parents caught me blue-handed... haha oh well tho... I had art class today, so there was my excuse :p

yeah blah... hmm... I saw this thing at the store (target) today... it is a food sprayer... you take off the lid and unscrew the top... put in whatever... and put the lid back on and pump it... so it manually pressurizes the can... then take off the lid and you can spray whatever contents u put in the can...... you think... maybe... it has potential? put sum powerstainin ink in there and use it like a refillable/reusable aerosol can... though it's not gas, but pumped air...

ehh... I hella wanted to get it but it was 10$..... worth rackin? haha or should I just buy it... LOL i dunno... whachu guys think? has anyone else seen this product? it's in the kitchen stuff aisle... and yeah, whatever... I'm out,

latez...

what you are describing sounds like an olive oil defuser. you put olive oil in it and spray. i have one in my kitchen and get good use out of it but not graff suitable. you have to pump it before every use and as far as the compressed air propelent goes, it wont hold too many pumps so it only sprays in short low pressure bursts(you would have to stop half way through a tag to pump the pressure back up :stretch: ) and it would be hard to form an even and consistant line due to the spray pattern. its just not a practical idea but its nice to see kids working on experimental thoughts.

:stretch: it would be like pumping up a car tire with one of those old school bicycle tire pumps.
