The only thing I remember about that show is that Colin Quinn hosted it. The State was amazing. I don't know if I would say it was ahead of it's time, though-- the Kids In The Hall was doing similar shit, a few years earlier. xrebelheartsx Posted October 26, 2007 Share Posted October 26, 2007 the entire series of the state is due out on dvd sometime soon(ish). the first announcement was "fall 2007", then it was October 23rd, and it's still not here. hopefully it'll be out by christmas, i guess we'll have to wait and see. i bought a dvd bootleg of the whole series off of ebay a few years ago, it's obvioulsy not the best quality (basically like a VHS rip), but fuck it, it's good enough for me. Anyone who is into the State should check out Wet Hot American Summer, and the short lived comedy central show Stella. colin quinn actually just had a side part. he would come on for certain categories questions and present them. if i remember right it was Ken Ober who hosted the show. adam sandler was also a person that was on the side here and there in this show too. same with dennis leary.
