I want to start this thread to see if there's anyone here interested in scale models for Architecture, and other Civil Engineering study and design. Including for example, brigdes, buildings, parking structures, landscapes, water works, etc...

Real or abstract prototype designs.

Professional and students.

I'll start with a few models I saw in a window of an architectural firm the other day.

Serious question, and let's not go to the too-often-in-12oz frame of mind of calling me a cop or a fag:

How does one reconcile graffiti with architecture?

I had to look up reconcile in the dictionary just now.

If I was to assume that you are refering to graffiti as the contemporary creations and social issue which is most commonly seen on many differenet forms of architecture and civil engineering structures today, then I don't know.

I like seeing scale models as abstract art as well as design prototypes, and technical illustrations for design and abstract art.

I think that there are huge parallels between graffiti and architecture when considering the type of systems that are present in both, the creative process, use of space, etc. I think that some people approach graffiti (specifically pieceing) like a 2D architecural design or construction where the lines, shapes, spaces all operate together. Its all design. I don't want to speak for Joker, and it would be cool if he spoke on this because I think it is interesting, but if you look at some of his shit against Hadid's models and buildings, there are huge similarities in line, space, flow, and movement. I never really put two and two together until I looked at them both. FUCK
