T.T Boy
hating on a music style is kindof silly. i could say every hardcore song sounds the same, or every underground rapper sounds like atmosphere and whines alot. silly. start with the big names first. Trance Ferry Corsten-L.e.f is a good album, not 100% trance but hands down one of the best djs ive ever seen in my life. he does a radio show that has a lot of new tracks, and he tells you who they are by etc etc breaks down the style Armin Van Buurin-another dutch master. very trance, but worth a listenk. DubFire- one of the guys from deep dish who i think is fantastic Deadmau5-a newer guy, but really good, more of an electro feel. Marco V-fucking wicked dj, borders on electro. Paul Van Dyk-latest album is really good. prduced the whole thing which says alot. "techno" or I guess Minimal: Booka Shade-good djs from germany, they get remixed alot into electro. M.A.N.D.Y-worth a listen. Fuck I dont listen to alot of Minimal. Buy the MIXMAG magazine and go from there. or check out www.beatport.com i could waste alot of money there. infected mushroom, MSTRKRFT opened for them and I stayed for about 10 minutes. too like hardcore raver for me. T4M*
All Those Djs are cool. Ferry, paul, etc. They actully spend their time making awsome tracks. Unlike other Djs, they just slap a beat and samples and call it done. I wrote a research paper on Trance Music and got an A on it. All those Djs that you mention are the ones who put a lot of effort to get the music spread, that is why they are popular and over rated. I dont stick to just a couple of DJs. I like to hear outside djs, becoming djs and such. Their music might not be epic, but their trax sounds damn nice when its played in the streets. ReignInBlood
Wetworks Devils Cry When Angels Bleed Live Pa Link: Devils Cry When Angels Bleed With a critically acclaimed debut release on Glenn Wilson's Punish Blue label, Wetworks has established himself to be a pound for pound percussion nightmare. A native New Yorker with an ear for vivid sound scapes and lush textures, he employs an extreme amount of self discipline and a musically trained ear to ensure anything released with his namesake on it, would be something he can be proud of for years to come. He has released with such notable labels as Punish Blue, Damaged Trax, and *Cutz and has future releases set for Player, Mastertraxx, More Punk Than Funk, as well as his own label Clandestine. Expect a potent abuse of rhythm, and a delicate focus on detail and composition. His Live PA has been gaining a reputation for being an eclectic blend of peak-time hard techno & funked out club movers. He is now available for bookings exclusively through Subdivision. The optick one
I STICK TO UR AND SUBMERGE FOR THE QUALITY SHIT.... I PERSONALLY THINK THAT DAVE THE DRUMMER AND OTHER SMITTEN LABEL CATS ARE PLAYED OUT AND OVER DUN THEIR STYLES.... IN THE BEGGINING DURING THE MID 90'S THEIR STYLE WAS HARD. AND QUALITY. NOW, THEY JUST AINT PUTTING ENOUGH OR RAN OUT OF SHIT TO DO... ITS VERY MISLEADING TO THE REAL ACID TECHNO HEADS WHO SEARCH FOR THAT TB 303 SPACE SOUND... I SUGGEST THE EXPERIMENTAL STYLES OF UNIT MOEBIOUS. THOSE GUYS STYLES ARE GUTTER.... ACID PLANET VOLUMES ARE THE DOPEST SOUNDS I HAVE COME ACROSS. CANT FORGET TPH ON TROPE/DRAX LTD/WAVESCAPE... REAL INOVATIVE SHIT... DAMON WILD IS DOPE; I WOULD SAY THAT ANYTHING DAMON WILD PUT OUT IS ILL. JOEY BELTRAM CALIBER EP AND CODE 6 VOLUMES ARE HEAVY. ADAM X IS DARK... the district
has anyone heard of Big in Japan or know of other groups like them. Its drum n bass played by actual instrument players. I was thinking 2 drummers could get some nice replicas to synthesized patterns that would be almost impossible to play as a solo drummer. Organic drum n bass and techno is the future... ReignInBlood
Detroit techno is dope, but the cats in D town swear their sound is the only one that is relevant. As far as Detroit techno the one who is standout to me now is DJ BONE. I find that the Acid Techno sound is slowly coming back if you look into the new breed of artists coming from the UK like A.P., Distek, and the F.A.T. Collective. Joey Beltram can't do wrong and is genuinely a good dude. Glenn Wilson is also developing his sound into a deeper but still tough mode, but still utilizing high production standards while doing so. T4M*
Many of You dont like Gabber, and I can see why. I like it, but not that overdosed Xtacy 200bpm+ type shit. I like the underground/hardstyle type. There is what im talking about.. Gabber One () 165BPM Gabber Two () 173.5BPM I want songs/artist that play that type of music. Hard to find. Also, RON D CORE is pretty dope. His BPM is very high, but he uses good samples from video games to old school shows to crazy lyrics. De sign
Woo gabba ;D *dumbface* haha its not bad. seems in america you guys have alot more minimal techno and shit. down under we just have banging beats flat out. 140bpm. all the clubs are hardstyle/hardtech/psytrance and a smiggen of house. but hardstyle is the prominent music. i guess its due to the shuffle. best to shuffle to hardstyle. :)
