misteraven Posted September 1, 2007 Author Share Posted September 1, 2007 just let him loose in third rail and the yard matter of fact i been in there a lot lately trying to squash all the business that seems to have sprouted up in there. kids peddling markers and other stuff is not only againt the rules, it actually hurts this site. we depend on sales at http://www.fourthehardway.com and now ad sales to keep this site alive and growing. kids riding our popularity to make a buck is not only lame, but definitely holds back progress. ultimately it coulod also be detrimental enough that i might just start putting the money i spend on this place each month towards a house instead. if you catch anyone soliciting, do everyone a favor and hit the report button under the post. This is a good point. Maybe invites should only be offered to members who post flicks. Of course, this won't eliminate the cop problem, but at least we might get to tax them some of the thousands of exclusive transit shots and confiscated collections the world's vandal squads have amassed over the years. misteraven Posted September 1, 2007 Author Share Posted September 1, 2007 yes, the system just allocated invites to those that met the criteria. in order to qualify for invites a user must have a minimum of 1000 posts. further every ____ posts = ____ invites. also ____ invites are deducted from your stash for every week of inactivity. invites expire after 30 days. you can access your invites by going to the USER CP. the last menu item in the left column (bottom left) is for INVITES. from there it'll list how many invites you have, how many invites are pending (assuming you sent someone an invite), as well as a short form which is how you invite someone. again, if you don't meet the criteria you won't have any invites in your account.
